memorial 2Band Concerts

The Council organises and sponsors a Sunday afternoon band concert which is usually held in the summer months. The concert is held at the Castle Bandstand and starts at 2.30pm.   The 2021 bandstand concert was held on Sunday 22 August 2021.

Last Night of the Proms concert

This concert is held on the first Saturday in August. The date is decided so that it doesn’t clash with the Clitheroe Food Festival. It is a free event starting at 6.30pm. Clitheroe Town Band and Slaidburn Silver Band perform in alternate years.  A collection is made during the evening for the Town Mayor’s Welfare Fund. For further information please contact the Town Hall on 01200 424722 or e-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Unfortunately, the 2020 Last Night of the Proms concert did not take place due to the public health situation but the 2021 Last Night of the Proms took place on Saturday 07 August 2021.
