The Council organises and sponsors a Sunday afternoon band concert which is usually held in the summer months. The concert is held at the Castle Bandstand and starts at 2.30pm.   The 2024 bandstand concert will be held on a date to be announced when decided.

Last Night of the Proms concert

This concert will be held on Saturday 13 July 2024. The date is decided so that it doesn’t clash with the Clitheroe Food Festival. It is a free event starting at 6.30pm. Clitheroe Town Band and Slaidburn Silver Band perform in alternate years.  A collection is made during the evening for the Town Mayor’s Welfare Fund. The Last Night of the Proms Concert 2024 will take place on Saturday 13 July 2024 and Clitheroe Town Band will be performing this year.  

Remembrance Sunday

The Town Mayor traditionally lays a wreath at the War Memorial at the Castle on Remembrance Sunday. The Service starts at 10.45 am at the war memorial. The Mayor also attends services at St Mary's Church for Remembrance Day at 9.30 am and Low Moor War Memorial.  In addition there is the National Pause to Remember at 11am on 11th November. Christmas festivities

The Council organises a crib dedication service in early December. Please contact the Town Hall for further information. The Christmas lights scheme in the town centre is also organised by the Town Council and the Decorative Clitheroe Committee.
